The rich, dark bodies of these socks were inspired by some of my favourite ales. The simple cables resemble droplets of ale settling in a glass and create a snug but stretchy fit. 36 stitches × 48 rounds = 10cm (4”) in stocking stitch in the round.
48 stitches × 48 rounds = 10cm (4”) in cable pattern in the round (lightly stretched).
Cable pattern gauge is approximate and given only as a guide. The pattern pulls in a lot when knitted but is very stretchy when worn.

300m/330yds [380m/420yds, 480m/530yds, 580m/630yds] of fingering weight yarn.
Socks shown in size M using Jawoll Solid Superwash (100% superwash wool; 210m/230yd per 50g skein); colour: 83.0168; 1.5 skeins.
